When I was 12, I randomly came across a Facebook ad for an acting conservatory that asked, "Do you want to be on the Disney Channel?" It was my childhood dream to be on Disney Channel, so of course, I filled out my information, though I didn’t think I would actually get a call. My dad received the call and asked me if I had signed up. They asked if I wanted to audition for acting classes, and of course, I said NO. I was scared. I was the girl with glasses who had internet friends. But a week later, they called my dad again and asked. My dad encouraged me to go, and ever since the day I auditioned for that acting class, my life changed.

At first, I didn’t realize acting could be a career—I just knew I loved it. Acting became my escape. It helped me come out of my shell and regain confidence during those challenging teen years. By age 13, I knew that acting was my calling, and I made the decision to pursue it seriously. My acting classes helped me land my first agent in San Francisco and connected me to Los Angeles. I began meeting with agents in LA, but every agent I met with told me that in order to be signed, I needed to move to Los Angeles because of same-day auditions. So, at 15 years old, I convinced my parents to let me make the move to LA to pursue my dreams, and I moved with their support.
